… like it was yesterday. May 2008! We were back in New York for a review of Katie’s progress since her third embolization surgery. The fabulous Dr. B smiling, poses with Katie the day before her final MRI and angiogram. We expected a possible 4th procedure but instead, Dr. Berenstein called our waiting room and said the words we’d been waiting so long to hear, “You are done with me. Kaitlynn is cured.”

As a father of four children who have all grown to adults without a serious life-threatening surgery, I can not imagine or comprehend what this day felt like for you both. To get the “all clear”? I would pay gladly to see what your expressions were at that very moment.
